Not everyone uses their hotlist as a hotlist. A fair few use it as a " even if hell was to freeze over " not list. That could be awkward

I agree with the need for a hotlist button. If you can see whose interested in your then surely it could cut down the time & disappointment of arranging meets. POF have this facility so the privacy advice was incorrect

Can you imagine what would happen if you could see whose Hotlist you were on? All the single guys would go message crazy expecting instant meets with anyone who hotlisted them - and lots of people would stop using the facility completely.

If you like someone enough to have hotlisted them for a genuinely interested in meeting reason then message them plain and simple.

Just a thought, the block button and private notes should do the same thing and you avoid seeing tools in your feeds.

I agree though it would be good if we could have the option to see who's list we are on.. for those who don't want to see this surely don't have to use it..

Then a new “list” would work as a not for me list, a snooze facility almost where you just don’t see that user for a preset period of time, allowing you to have the hot list public, almost like a wish list.

Also I feel a better timeline facility would be beneficial, so the updates button becomes like a face book timeline allowing you to interact and view friends possibly meet and chat, rather than the glorified classified ads it is now!!!!

We’ve always thought a not list should be added then your hotlist could be just that. What we think though is still keep it private until you are on each others hotlist then you should get a system message saying so, where either party take it after that is up to them.

Something very similar exists on Fabguys. If somebody adds you to their hotlist and they are already on your's it will only tell you on your hotlist updates stream on the day that they add you.

I guess such a feature would be welcomed by many but not all.

Well I just use like it’s suppose to be used - people you interested in meeting - if they post an update it might lead to me messaging them - might not always.

I block people I’m absolutely sure I do not want a meet/chat with.

If this was introduced people should be able to make it private (just as with friends). And just because someone is on my hotlist doesn't mean I want to meet them. Tbh if I wanted show interest - there are other ways to do that!
