I think she's just having a bit of a rant about directors in chat.

Do what we do, remind them its not a directing room, copy n paste the inevitable abuse to admin, and have your hotlist full of chat mods so you can see who's online and msg them to come and sort the numpties out.

Nope, not really.

But then, is being a singly really swinging either?

People have different expectations as to what "swinging" is, or isn't.

We like to make friends, and we think the chatrooms are a great way of doing so, as well as staying in touch with old friends.

Why should we?

It still doesn't stop the problem, too many people "turn away" instead of getting involved, if everyone in the chatroom at that point said and did the same thing, sooner or later the result would be that persistent directors would stop doing it.

If you top up your membership over the phone, they recorded message actually says something along the lines of "our site members will sort the numpties out"... its expected that the membership of this site are proactive in policing it.

If I read this correctly then the OP is objecting to being directed in a Directing Chat Room. Maybe I’ve misunderstood. There’s other non directing rooms available.
