How does one delete mail with the new inbox - it keeps resurrecting itself!?

Mind you it's a total pain to have to open the mail each time, that was the good thing about deleting mail on a phone - ie with one click.

Ah but it doesn't work properly - if I delete a thread on my phone it is still there on the computer!
