Semi-auto "no thanks " for messages

Wouldn't it be nice to have a semi-auto response option to "reply" to messages. A generic "thanks but no thanks" or similar.

It would make it easy, and polite for busy profiles to let people down gently, or end conversations that aren't working for one party.

It would prevent people hassling for replies to emails or staring at screens waiting for replies that will never come.

Just a thought.

It would be perfect!!!think the site needs a major overhaul technology wise......maybe the clubs could contribute to the upgrade......

No reply = no thanks, that's pretty clear

"No reply = no thanks, that's pretty clear "

This! Just read the FAQ. It is very clear no reply = no thanks.

I do wonder how many people who complain of no replies would really prefer to see lots of messages in their in box only to find that every one said "no thanks".

This wasn't meant in a moaning way, merely as a possible way to improve user experience.

It seems like a good idea to me. One "Delete" button and one "Delete with No thanks" button.

Why did people complain?

"Why did people complain? "

Possibly because lots of people enjoy complaining or the sake of it

"Why did people complain? "
Imagine all the "Why are people so rude, they never reply to me?" threads replaced with "Why are people so rude, they always reply with the automatic 'Thanks, but No Thanks'?" messages and you'll get the idea.
