Hey just wondered if video will be an option to add in the future or will that slow the site down?

I think it probably won't happen would cost more to get bigger better servers to do it

Videos are a terrible idea. Lots of other sites that you can upload to.

I hope videos never happen. Poor mods have a nightmare with pics, I'm sure they wouldn't want to have to watch every video uploaded before it was posted.

Personally, I think that there are plenty of porn websites available, and turning FAB into a porn video source would undoubtedly increase the number of "Picture Collecting" fake profiles.

How about being able to put up a 15 second profile video allowing you to introduce yourself to everyone. That way people see a little more of your personality and can hear your voice? One short video per user might make the moderation workload manageable.

Yes there are other sites that you can upload videos to but what good is that when you can't link them with your fab profile and any links get blocked by the massaging system.

We have many vids on another site but fab won't allow us to share them here.

We would welcome a video feature here, with security features like only users verified by 10 people by meeting and watermarks.

Oh the poor moderators... well they will get more revenue from the vids so they can pay for more mods, we'd do it. Also, the uploader could earn bonuses for hits, like extended membership. Win-win.

The site our vids are on does this, it also has a dating section and a chatroom, so why not a vid section here? It's the same as hosting pictures really but with bigger files. The uploader will have control just like with pics and will shoulder responsibility like with the pics.

I don't think they will ever add it here

You can however get a real cheap host and make a little password protected site yourself to put some clips on and just give the peeps you want to see them the password.

We have our own server and running costs are not cheap even for a mere 100gb so you could imagine fabs subscription costs going up and more staff to screen the video`s.

Just get yourself on another porn website and make a profile and upload your clips there and password protect them.

I have my own server but at home that I host a few bits on so cost is only about £5 a month for electric as it has to be on 24/7

Fab works hard to make sure people faces are obscured in pics but with videos they would have to check the whole length of it just in case someone even is standing in the background

They would use the same disclaimer/contract that every other porn video site uses. the onus is on the uploader to ensure permissions are granted.

The trouble with that is you can't send the links to your private password protected site, or any other site, through fab because ALL weblinks are blocked on fab messaging. Plus it would contravene fabs terms and conditions to promote another site, however small.

I'm sure the owners regularly review all options for the site, the features, pricing options etc. It's primarily a free site and I think that the increased overheads in terms of equipment, bandwidth and personnel is unattractive to them. I think there are changes to UK law next year, for adult sites - so they may also face increased restrictions should they do so.

People can share off site if they want, which allows users to assume all responsibilities - they can use messaging apps etc too for this.

Personally I think it would draw a less interesting mix of people, who would themselves increase site usability issues for everyone.

The running costs of this website a month are but little...Adding a video feature to this website for paying members to post a a couple of short videos would be amply covered by the members fiver and much, much more...
