When I get a new message on almost all other platforms - kik, whatsapp, messenger - whatever.....I get a sound alert to tell me this - and then I make the decision as to whether to respond then or not.

As we all know with this 'swinging' lark lol......timing can be crucial - a missed message could mean the end of a meet or a change in plans - while you are on the way to that meet.

I experienced this yesterday actually - as I was half way to the meet she sent a message to say 'called off'...........which I didn't know about until I arrived at the meet location and took out my phone to read FAB messages.

If you could incorporate a sound alert to advise of a new message - We could have prompts to tell us that new messages have arrived in our inboxes on the go - rather than having to log in and update the page to see the new message.

Is this difficult to do?

Bagman. Thanks

Get their number. You seem very disorganised.

We never exchange numbers before meeting. Try to keep our mobile numbers private for various good reasons

A notification would be great!

If he got e-mail notifications turned on as well as push messages enabled to my mobile phone too both of which should sent me a message when I get a message which will have the standard audible alert, as long as my phone's sound I switched on.

I sometimes get one and not the other but I would say about 9 times out of 10 I get to know prety much instantly that I've received a message.

Makes no difference under new driving laws as you can't read it unless you stop turn of the engine...
