What does fab actually do to profiles who have been reported for time-wasting, being abusive etc? Do they get a warning or something

i think sometimes they delete the abusers coz i personally know one who had to make a new account to abuse me again. probably only do it if they get reported a lot though.

not sure what they do about time wasters.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

I hate seeing moans about the site but one major gripe is that some people get away with being downright abusive if you dont reply or say no.

It's somewhat ironic that we would get a ban for naming and shaming (which I understand btw) but people who send vitriolic messages are free to carry on.

other sites delete them as soon as you report them.

From our own experience bum all!

Unfortunately the timewasters will alway exist here so we think it's a matter of developing the skills to them out and except no matter how careful you are and how good your system might be, over a long enough timeline you will be caught out.

Every single profile I've messaged has been a time waster , either that or just plain rude , I've not had 1 reply from this site in 6 months , and let's be honest ,ok I'm no Chippendale,but I'm not exactly the elephant man now am I !

There is one guy on here that picks on newbies, I understand if you've been on for a while, to be cautious of, but no need to bully, but he basically bullied me, saying I was a fake until I had a social meet! And got verified.

I now see him put up on his updates ............? is a fake ( and names them)

i understand there are some On here that are, but bullying in any shape of form is not nice!!!!

Or they just don't want to meet you, that doesn't make them a time waster.

The definition of a timewaster is someone who arranges a meet but doesn't show up or cancel

Like the post explains, Admin deal with things in a number of ways. Sometimes Admin send warnings first which I personally think is fair because if everyone who broke a rule on the site was chucked off straight away there would be a lot of people chucked off for a forum/ chat ban etc.On the other hand obvious fakes are chucked off. Admin work very hard to rid the place of people who are not suited to the site.

On the other hand Admin won't be able to please everyone on the site if they think Admin need to chuck off people who don't answer a mail though.

I will paste the post again to the end of the thread, keep reporting if you think someone is breaking rules or fake with as much info as you can of why you think they are and Admin will check it out
