profiles without public pictures (or in fact any pictures at all - private - or even an avatar) are coming up in search results requesting profiles with public pics

Could it be that they've been photo verified and they don't have that in their public or private pics but the search function is detecting it?

no - just ran a search again and it brought up 3 profiles in the first 2 pages that only had private pics, had no avatar, and weren't photo-verified

Can you paste the full search URL onto this thread we'll have a look.

The "has photos" flag is updated every x minutes each day so it's not always guaranteed to be 100% accurate

Here you go - at the time I searched there were at least 2 results on the first page that didn't match the search criteria - I.e. didn't have public pics
