Is there a way to increase this - i thought I had bookmarked a thread that had some good suggestions but have lost it. It doesn't come up under the searches either

If the thread title doesn't come up in searches it has probably been deleted from the forums.

Not necessarily! Threads are only deleted if they (or posts in them) breach the rules. You only get the last 35 posts on a forum search. Try searching for posts on your favourite club!
