Photo verified doesn't mean jack, Anyone with basic photoshop skills could get past that.

There does need to be something in place for timewasters, but unless its fool proof it won't work

On another site that we were on previously, they had far better filters so you only received messages from people who fitted within them.

You could block explicit pics etc.

It was better for that but was still a crap site.

Definitely does need to be something to stop all fake profiles. Photo verified would be a start. Did see a forum post about new law possibly coming in, on proving your age. Not allowing people to put Kik or mobile no's on there updates

The messaging system itself needs updating. I think all messages from one person should be in one thread rather then having an inbox fill of replies. Kind of like how facebook messenger is

That's unfair.

Limit the number of messages a newbie gets for the first week or so as this message overload often makes women leave. Maybe have a feature that blocks messages from certain groups but allows winks?

Yes yes yes... i still think there are ways around this verification thing (if you are good at Photoshop that is) but it would put a lot of one-day fakers off and that has to be a good thing.

It may be better to focus on highlighting non timewasters rather than vice versa. This is what my idea of introducing a "meet this week" flag, to compliment the "meet today" flag, was about. People who weren't ready to meet, for whatever reason, would leave it turned off. It would clearly differentiate between those actively swinging at the moment and those having a break or just looking.

Another idea I just had, to help differentiate meeters from non meeters could be you take a selfie of you meeting another Fab member. Send it to Fab and they verify you really did meet that person by checking face pics. It might help clarify who's actually meeting somehow... Don't know how that helps lol but it's a thought

Joking aside some very good points that would make the site even better but we will different views on what would work best. I do like the friends highlighted messages and also the time frame people can be on here without any type of verification. If your not verified by a meet cam or the easiest option photo with a period of time your profile is removed does anybody even give a profile that's not verified after say a few months a second look ? I love to see the stats on how many that aren't verified after say 4 weeks actually go on to get verified bet it's not many at all

Advisory traffic lights on profiles, useful for new, under suspicion etc, or more green when an old site boot (eg me) plus verified and other site algorithm factors.

+1 to inbox folders suggestions

Standard reply 'no thanks', 'Thanks plus user created text' etc, with additional option to block at same time

User created prompts option, for when someone tries to message you, eg 'Hi - please read the profile or don't bother messaging me / us'

Then we could get rid of Kik (which we use just for our fab friends) thus freeing up much needed memory on our phones for photos. In addition, I reckon we'd be more selective as to who we friend on Fabs.

They have the verification system, which is a Godsend and is supposed to wed out the timewasters. I promote this site elsewhere simply because of this feature. A guy I mete here was also on Adultfriendfinder but we couldn't use the testimonial system there to verify each other because we were both non-paying members. So count yer blessings.

I got fed up of no-shows, despite a better hit rate here than anywhere else, so I began demanding three texts on the day of a meet: one at 3pm before I start getting ready, one at 6pm when it's not too late to rearrange the evening and one just before they leave the house. Miss one and don't bother coming at all.

I also tell meets that I understand cold feet and that meets are the lowest in a priority list, especially when they were turned on in front of the PC at the time but they're not on the day of the meet, and I don't care how lame the excuse is, just make sure you make it before I start wasting my time getting ready, because it's a big hassle and a lot of work getting myself looking fabulous for their benefit.

I don't want to block them. I want to be able to use other areas of Fab without receiving any messages. A message to anyone trying to message could say This profile is currently not receiving messages. Or be able to not show online.

The site needs better ways to stop fake profiles and time wasters.

The administrators could add a fake profile tick box to every profile and then they could see the profiles with the most ticks in a descending list so it is easier for admins to find the fakes.

There are a number of ways to be verified and they shouldn't be one off's.

A security password should be sent to your address on file, each year. Enter the code into the site to remain address verified.

They would just put off (with good reason) genuine people.

Everyone uses fab for different reasons. Some use it as a sex site, some use it as a more social function to arrange parties etc. Some just use the forums for some of the banter.

It would be a shame to lose some members if they are forced into doing things like photo verifying, adding different details etc.

Plus doesn't matter what sanctions you have there will always be fakes, scammers, sex offenders, drug sellers and whatever else people have experienced.

Use common sense and use block. I'd just leave the site as it is as it works well

Fab is now essentially just like any other social media. Only difference is you can have a cock pic avatar. So try and make it a bit more useful. A stuff for sale section would be useful. Forums for trouble with your car, hobbies and interests etc etc. It might make the forums more than just bbw, tv's, clique or no clique, kiss or no kiss, please fab my ass etc etc etc. You made the start with the politics section, so carry on.

what about this idea.

a obligtory annual membership fee, where instead of email addresses are proff, an actual address, this would help keep banned users from the site,

profile photos of the face only along with veri number. handed out via the site,

moderators are highlighted in Red font not an asterix.

better class of descriptions not m f tv/ts/cd ( eg sm/sf M m M f Tv Tg Ts CD etc}

no daft location addresses eg toytown or nowher near anyplace etc)

A suspension being total suspension from the site not just chatroom and likewise a ban from the site being a ban.

moderators being online 24/7 and at least two covering a room.

a Gay only chatroom.

a meets only page where you can leave a onsite post to admin to let them know who you are meeting( safety for singletons)

no duplicate veries from same person on one profile.

a moderator call button replace the poke button.

A search feature within the blocked list page for the fiery and the fickle amongst us!

If your blocked list is extensive it's almost impossible to re-find profiles. We also sometimes wonder if we were blocked or did the blocking!?!?!?

If you had various voluntary verifications, say; card, address, phone etc.., you could have a filter facility for each one. Then you can select who can message you. Those who feel they make no difference can set them to off and those who feel it'll filter some fakes/time wasters out can switch more to on.
