Good enough question but why would we need to know who's 'buggered off' as you put it? If their gone, there's nothing we/you can do about it.

User names and photos are often the way we know who we are interacting with. I would like to know which idiot left without saying goodbye - so that when they return and message me again, I can send the message straight to trash
