FabSwingers.com forum: Same banned people return with new accounts

In my area we have the same guy who registers as a woman and write in his status that he's inface a 'hung cross dresser'

I constantly report him and the account gets shut down

Even in my feedback form I've suggested banning the IP address rather than the email but it's happening time and time again

The same thing goes for some members who put their kik address in the profile for you to find out they want you to register for a website

Again I report them but they pop up the next day with a new name

Are there plans to do something about it ? I feel like I'm policing the site which I don't want to do but I also want the site to be for the genuine people and not taken advantage of

Blocking IPs do nothing, very few people have fixed addresses. Unfortunately people like this will keep coming back, creatures of habit.

Well stop. If people want it brought to their attention, then they personally would do something about it. If admin found a problem, they deal with it. That's their job.

Giving someone their kik isnt against site rules. Kik isn't a spam site so not sure what your issue with that is. In fact kik is far better tool to use on here then WhatsApp and I'm sure you have no issues with that site.

Stop giving yourself a headache and relax. Let others run their profiles however they like and you run yours your way. Just block and move on if you see something that doesn't appeal to you.

Hi since are plenty of fake accounts being made ie guys claiming to be a female or anything else I'd like to make a suggestion when a person reports someone if was an option if a person had screenshotted the evidence could be helpful for admin assistant plus anyone getting harassed too

I've currently got my account hidden because one person keeps opening up different accounts every day, asking for photos of me but refusing to give me any details about himself or sending me photos. These accounts last two days and then get deleted. They even managed to contact me while my account was hidden and I hadn't spoken to them before!? It's really creepy! There isn't a way of blocking anyone via their IP address, you can get around it by pinging your address through various servers and using IP addresses from anywhere in the world. An IP address may not be legitimate.

You can only ban a MAC address (that only bans the modem that they are using however).

I'm new myself and am more interested in newbies than seasoned pros, (learning together and all that). Also, almost everyone who has contacted me is new. If I blocked newbies then I wouldn't get many messages, but I am seriously considering it!

I don't have a problem with using kik , I fact I use it myself , the problem I was trying to mention is new 'female' accounts that put their kik address in and then when you contact them they try to sign you up to a website , often porn or dating sites.

I don't particularly worry about these things but I was just pointing it out for admin . I just want to in some small way contribute to the fab community by trying to make it a better , safer site for genuine people

Maybe the administrators could had a fake profile tick box to every profile and then they could see the profiles with the most tick in a descending list so it is easier for them to find the fakes.

MAC addresses are not part of the TCP/IP packet. It's only used on the LAN segment, not passed to the webserver at all.
