Someone messsged me saying I'd sent a friend request. I rarely send friend requests unless we've chatted so I'm confused as to how this one was sent.

It was probably a big fib. I got one last night thanking me for adding him as a friend. I hadn't. He wasn't on the friends list. Really quite an unusual tactic.

I think maybe he is fibbing. Some guys will use this to engage you into a conversation. I've had thus myself

He wasn't using it as a way of chatting he was querying the request.

Told him he didn't need to accept it and he could delete it.

We sometimes get messages saying "I saw you looked at me". Since we've enabled the feature that stops us showing on looked at me lists we know its just a ploy to engage us in conversation.
