East Anglia

Hi

This has probably been suggested before but can we not have an East Anglia area selection on the "Add Meet" section? We currently only have our postcode in the East Midlands area which doesn't really narrow things down enough as we are miles from most meets!

Totally agree.

An east Anglia or Essex section would be great.

This subject has been done to death, to no avail, in effect there are only two clubs in East Anglia, that's Mingles & The Annex (VA & Jaydees are Beds so are East Midlands) group socials are very thin on the ground too, so it's a chicken and egg situation, there is really not enough going on to warrant its own area, or is it because it hasn't got his own area that it's dead?

So is that how it works on here? If you don't have a club deemed worth going to in that specific area then it doesn't qualify as an "area" worthy of (non club) meets? Therefore East Anglia doesn't pass the fab criteria to be classed as an "Area" (with postcodes) in the "Add meet" section??

Incidentally we've been to Mingles and we think it's well worth visiting as it's a lovely place

At no time in our post did we say the clubs were not worth going to! Strange....

We simply pointed out that East Anglia as an area has less clubs and little in the way of arranged socials that maybe it doesn't warrant its own area on fab

Mingles we haven't been to as it's somewhat far from us but Jason & Bex are a lovely couple having spoken to them on a few occasions at another club and from all the positives we hear about Mingles maybe we will put the effort in and go sometime, sorry if we've gone off topic...

I think you've took our last message way out of context. I wasn't insinuating that you had said that and I'm sorry if that's how it came across. It was a legitimate question as I assumed that's how fab may work as we honestly do not understand why East Anglia isn't listed as a shortlist in the "Add Meet" area with postcodes that are not over 100 miles apart but still listed under the same area?

I honestly didn't mean it as an insult in any way

North Devon-ish

We have always thought there should be a EA area, Here in Hertfordshire we have thought we should be in EA not SE.

The most confusing one is Greater London.

Just because theres not that many clubs in this area, shouldnt mean theres no action here what about all the other type of meets! If there was an EA or Essex selection maybe there would be more advertise socials, events & socials.

I know when holding a social myself a few years back there was loads of interest & the night was a great success. Having own area would make planning events like this a lot easier

We used to host a very successful club night but really that was on the east Anglia/East Midlands border, most of the guests were from east Anglia however so they saw the forum threads, meets etc, maybe someone could start an East Anglia forum thread for people to say hello or peeps could just chat on this thread, it's not a case of no action, we don't struggle to find action it's just compared to all the other areas we don't many clubs, socials etc, it's been tried (Fenland swingers socials) for example and died....

That could be a good idea, having areas in the forum to post for meet availability?? Like they have done in chat?? Could that work maybe?

Yes, I agree. It's not a populous region, but it's not so small that it should be merged with East midlands.

What I find curious is that Colchester comes up in both East Mids and South East, however I know that E A is a large area but there are some large population masses. How does one contact the relevant " management" about this's?
