you can have emails sent to you, i dont cos i check messages while chatting, but my other mail comes thru when i in fab chat and i know cos got it programmed to say Patricia You have a message and in a man.s too lol.

The traumas of life .... if you're in chat, the main site window is still open - it's just a matter of switching tabs - surely that cannot be too much trouble

We use a hotmail address for this site, so when we get a new mail, we get the hotmail alert come up.
