Can we identify non site supporters?

We have our filter on to prevent non site supporters from contacting us but is there a way for us to identify non site supporters from a profile to stop us unknowingly sending messages to them ?

Less chance of timewasters ( mainly married men collecting and wanking to photos behind their wife's back )

if you have to pay some something there will be timewasters too but far less of them especially as your phone bill can reveal your activities to your partner . I'd go further and make it pay by debit/credit card only ,a joining fee of at least £30 quid and no free membership at all but that's covered in other threads . We actually met each other on a normal dating site and found this also to be the case on those when comparing the free ones with the fee based ones.

I'm pretty sure married guys have a fiver to spend.even more so now if they read this and know how to pull a fast one on you guys .

Well up to now We wouldn't have had the choice as we didn't know how you could tell who was a supporter of the site . Now we know how to distinguish supporters from non supporters the answer is we would be more likely to meet a couple who are site supporters and verified than non site supporters who are verified . The main thing is we now won't waste time sending messages to non site supporters who aren't verified by several different people.

You can't identify fab from your phone bill, it could be anything and I never look at any of my husband's bills.

Having said that if those are the criteria you want to use its fair enough, we all have our own way of choosing people.

It might not saying 'swinging site' on the bill but it still would need some explaining so people using the site behind their partners backs would want to leave the smallest footprint we would have thought therefore avoid becoming supporters .

Easy definition - it's people , usually men but can be women who pretend to be looking for meetings on here but in reality are cyber wankers just collecting photos and getting online kicks usually behind their partners backs .

They have profile that says 'joined over a year ago' but no verifications or 'joined over a year ago ' and profile freetext says 'new to this ' or something suggesting it's never been updated etc. The best one to identify them is the one line message with no punctuation e.g. 'Any pics? ' etc etc .

Exactly this! People who have verifications from in person meets are real and prove they aren't a time waster! Id never pay for this site or any other. I play by the rules and i meet. Just like othets do.

Just because someone pays a fiver or whatever to become a "member " , doesn't make them or their intentions genuine! So the OP's logic is a tad laughable really. I've been messaged by site supporters before, arranged to meet and got stood up. Nothing is guaranteed on this site until that person is standing right in front of you.

We seem to have gone round in a circle here as we have already said there are genuine people both supporters and non supporters and also timewasters in both categories , and it's just our opinion that there will be a higher proportion of non site supporters who are timewasters than site supporters who are timewasters but some people still don't seem to get that , so we will leave it at that and thanks again to the first reply we had which answered our question x

but that information should be enough for u to determine they are timewasters.weather they have paid a fiver of not should be irrelevant if you see where I'm coming from .

Mmmm! Think I'm beginning to get wiser now .. there seems to to a reluctance for members to meet other members who are either not verified by other members, site supporters or both ... becoming a site supporter is easily rectified but getting verified by another member is a chicken or egg situation ... there seems to be a lot of suspicion built in here ... it's like a club within a club .. I'm not including anyone specific in this by the way, at least some (and one or two otheres) have had the decency to communicate. . I'm just becoming wiser ... the only other thing I can think of is going to a club to meet someone that will verify me on here ... not going to get in a chain of discussionsome about this but thought you would like feedback from someone new that is genuine, not a site supporter and not verified by an other member ..

Personally I think they should get rid of the "only interested in site supporters" option. If you want a paid site there are a few others you can join, none of them, to my knowledge, any better than this one (whose success is precisely because it's free). £5 via a text message is hardly a high hurdle for fakes who want to use features like getting bigger versions of people's pictures etc... And ultimately I think it was probably implemented as a cynical ploy to make some users uncontactable without upgrading to paid membership. So it turns people like the op into bait for increasing revenues.

If you got rid of it people would still be able to see the fakes easily and you wouldn't get this upper class of people who think free users pose risks. This is the first time we've ever paid for membership in all the time we've been on here and will likely only do it from time to time. If we're free and we encounter someone who's blocked free users we just think they're a bit silly/snooty and we also balk at the idea we should spend money to find out if they want to meet us so we just move on. If they look really nice we'll try contacting them when we next feel like upgrading. Why did we upgrade? Purely for more photos. Nothing to do with meeting paid users

I'm not a pic collector or a site supporter but I am attached and playing alone but I'm also 50 so in my area I'm out of the age ranges and have been since I joined and I don't think that becoming a site supporter will suddenly put me in the age ranges people are looking for so it not really worth it for some of us
