I have been a member of many swinging and sex sites, the majority of which required a membership fee (sometimes quite a high one).

Not one of those sites avoided fakes, timewasters, or dreamers.

Agree it won't stop it but will cut down, every little helps.

I was a member of a swinging website that charged £150 per year. There was loads of timewasters on it. Way more timewasters than on fab.

Or you could join a site that has a high membership fee and see if that one is more to your liking. There are plenty out there that already do this, instead of trying to change this free site.

Your choice.

Most swingers go in cycles. Keenly looking to meet, having a breather, thinking about meeting again, keenly looking to meet, and so on. When you catch these people at the wrong point their indifference comes across as "timewasting"... as such, the real problem here has nothing to do with fees but comes solely down the fact the site has no tools for users to tell others how active they are (see our" meet this week" thread in this section) and so minimise pointless or ill timed interactions. This would cut down on the problem you identify to a far greater extent than any fees imo

I'm not a dreamer or a Timewaster and those I've met don't fall into this category either.

Why should we be forced to pay?

OP, Why not use the tools available on fab..works for us..as to increasing the voluntary contribution we are happy as it is..its really only beer money for admin and when you think of all the reports they sieve good luck to them..

I agree with Mrs R. Although I'm currently a site supporter, I'm neither of the above nor are the people I've met in this category. Why should the whole site cease to be free, if there is a handful that are time wasters? Dreamers can't be helped, they will always take a stab in the dark with someone whom they wouldn't usually approach, whether they are paying members or not.

Putting prices up will make no difference at all.
