How can this happen

A question for all you fab experts.

We were recently messaging a couple, and have noticed they have gone off site.

But, even if we are unfriended, blocked, or they have left the site, their messages should still be in our inbox. With the heading `user no longer on site`.

Any help appreciated thanks.

But no sign of any messages.

As far as I'm aware all trace of their messages disappear, as opposed to the forums where their post remains, but they come up as unlos?

They don't disappear. We have been on here for years and have never come across this.

I *think* the messages disappear if they have been removed from the site by admin.

I could be wrong though.

It's a possible, but seems unlikely. But thanks for your input.

Usually the messages stay if they've gone unlos of their own accord but I'm not sure what happens if their account is removed by admin.
