Message filters don't work

I have filters on to filter out people with no public pics yet I keep getting messages from those without no pics on their profile.

I wondered if it was because they had images on their profile they had set to private.

An avatar counts as a public pic, or they make a pic public, send the message then hide the pic again.

I have age restrictions, have since I set up my profile. But I keep getting messages from guys outside my chosen ages

Have you messaged with these people before, or are they in your friend list? I think both of these scenarios bypass the filters. In that case, you have to block the individual if you don't want any more contact from them.
