why cant we edit our forum posts....im crap i always make typos and then cant edit them once i realise iv done them....i know i should reread what iv done before posting it but not always easy to do while working.

the only thing you can do is delete the whole post and start again

I'm sure if an edit facility was provided, that also would be available for a limited period of time ..

Maybe not but if you preview it first and then spell check..........voila problem goes away

If your ok with Google, install the toolbar and it has a spell checker, and run it through any posts before sending. It's not a grammar checker mind...

I cannot speak for all forums, but the only other one which I have used, allowed a 15minute slot in which to edit your post.

What would be the point if a forum post was editable for an indefinate period of time ?

I could imagine it causing a whole heap of trouble
