I think it would be great to be able to Fab someone's status, this way they would know that you have the same interests or ideas, another way of connecting.

Not a bad shout there..another subtle way of saying you may be interested without having to message them in the first instance

I agree, so many times I’ve read a hilarious status, and would love to fab it because it put a smile on my face! I kind of see it as an extension of the forum really, social interaction and all
