We think it is about time something should be done about the club reviews section, it could do with a sort out and tidy up! some clubs are shut, some reviews are just adverts and the amount of slagging off between people is ruining what used to be an interesting and informative section of this site.

There must be a way of sorting genuine reviews from personal vendettas against clubs. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of the remarks are just plain out of order. There should be a way that things can be varified so that people know they are genuine reviews.

Delete the clubs that are no longer there (like the spanish ones where the websites haven't been updated for 5 years), delete the spam and ads, and maybe just comment on the clubs that are having review wars to keep on topic.

I don't think there should be all out deletion of the duelling reviews, but they aren't very useful to us who haven't been to the club. In fact, it's not the best way to get new punters in so I am wondering why the club owners are happy with it. I'd rather avoid a club where the members are fighting with each other.

I reckon just a little bit of moderation and housekeeping would really help here. The fighting reviews are entertaining, like a train wreck, but not very useful.

there are a few problems... any avoid post is normally jumped on and that doesn't look nice...

as long as they can be critical without sounding vendictive I don't have a problem with them at all..

it might be an idea for someone to right/contact all the clubs involved.. and if they don't get back to you, then delete then.... that might help....

Tried that a few times and no one takes any notice, politics rears it's head on another one instead.

I agree though, it would put us off using a club with so much bitching going on.

I am not sure how it can be policed from Admin's point of view though, as they don't know who has actually visited the club and are giving an honest review and who are making it up.

Yes I don't think getting all official will stop the wars, but maybe a comment about how their behaviour is stopping others from going MAY give them a clue.

The others stuff should be easy enough though - delete the clubs and websites that are no longer there, that sort of thing.

Oh and maybe start warning the club owners about the duelling reviews, with penalties. There seems to be all out war going on between La Chambre and the Attic on the club pages at the mo and to be quite honest I don't think I want to go to either if their members are like that!

absolutely agree.........

it looks like my local club was drawn into the feud between the attic and La Chambre when one of "La Chambre's" regulars wrote a review about our local club....

but the 1st line was this...

"We have never been to this club..."

and yet then wrote a whole lot about it based on heresay

the post was rightfully removed......

I get people defending and hyping up there own clubs.. and trying to get more people to go...but flame wars are not going to help and it is going to give people a negative reaction.....

at the moment would i want to either of the clubs... no........

Agree, we have been to both the attic and La chamb and liked them both for different reasons!! all this negativity is spoiling the whole club scene.

I dont mind going out to clubs and sampling there delights and giving feedback. I think swinger heaven have club testers where they go on a regular basis to keep check of them and to leave feedback.

well its funny seeing this as i was just about to make one myself.

i think they do need to be checked more often and stop the staff posting of clubs when abad review is put on we want to know the good and the bad times.

staff posting and getting regs of there club to have a go at someone who post a bad review is not good that is bullying people and will stop people posting a review, to scared to post incase they get slagged off for doing so it needs to stop.

How about 1 review per club per month as there are a few clubs that get reviewed every week by the same people????
