Would narrow down time spent searching if people have a certain type.

Would definitely like this. As people describe themselves in different ways, would be better to be able to tick to exclude certain types.

I just use my block button...so guess it would be maybe better than me just adding to the list. The block button is the most used filter because of limited filters in place on here.

Question ... I range from a snug 12 or a comfy 14. Would I be classed as slim, medium, large.

Reason I'm asking this, I think body type is so subjective whatever the search criteria, I could be someone's preference or I could be someone's idea of yuck!

So whilst I get the need for some to have body type search - you'd still need to do some work once narrowed it down xx

What's the point? It's incredibly subjective.

I've been messaged by many a bloke who's looking for fit, people who "look after themselves", no over size 12, etc. and when I remind them I'm an obese size 16 get told I'm the "right kind" of fat So I'm not even convinced people know what they want in the first place sometimes.

I think it would encourage people to misrepresent even more to not fall foul of filters. Same as it currently is with age and sexuality.

Surely filters are for the one who is setting it. What others do to get round them they will always try. Or are you suggesting remove all filters because they don't work? I don't think so. I just now constantly block people as I've no filters for certain types. My block list is massive and it's not being used for what it was intended for...and many are using it like that unfortunately.

Of course I'm not suggesting remove all filters. Well you're achieving the same result with your block list, so what's the problem? I achieve what I want by looking at photos. There's not *that* many profiles on here that I must filter out anyone who is not athletic right from the start in case I risk wasting my time looking at a fat person. And I'm searching for men. If you're searching for women, you're dealing with about 90% fewer so I really don't see why this is an issue.

Click on photo, are they too fat for me, yes, block. 3 seconds, tops.

90% fewer what? There's 50x more women on here. Think of the amount of time I'd save if i wanted 'fit' women. I tend to find though 'fit' women less energetic and involved..more passive may be a better term....but that's just my experience.

But why chanel it to small medium or large...

why not use that international measurement that everyone already understands.... 10, 12, 14, 20, etc

Not everyone understands that and what one size looks like on one person versus another varies massively with height and body shape.

Exactly! I have a range of clothes in different sizes. I'm 5:4 and curvy as hell... another girl would be v slim and another very curvy depending on body shape and height. Xx
