Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

It would be good, but it's actually not possible.

Admin could disable right click, but all that would give you is the illusion of protection, as there are ways around it.

As such, it's better to KNOW you're unprotected so that you can act accordingly.

O o O oo

https://www.fabswingers.com/articles/FAQ

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.

On a mobile you would only have to screenshot it too. So really is pointless.

Even if the right click save was disabled I could still take a screen shot of any pic I wanted.

So as Admin say, it is pointless.

You can't protect any pic against a screen shot. Or taking a picture of the screen using another mobile device. If you don't want pics copied...don't have any.

The internet is an open space!

"You posting your pics onto the Internet.... It's basically a free for all public domain. "

It does not mean they are in the public domain, you retain the copyright.

But it's the internet and not everyone will follow the rules.

How about us as individuals take responsibility for what we put up on the internet?

If you don't want it seen/stolen don's post it

I watermark all my pics.

Concerning pics, what the numbers below the pictures represent? They're only seen when you click "view extra large"(the 0.0156, 0)

All pics, supporter or not, automatically get the site name and profile name on the bottom. But I think she is referring to adding your own username watermark across the centre of your pics, I do.
