Is it possible to have a section where people wishing to meet have both to verify by hitting an arrange to meet button?

Thus if issues do occur during meets (theft or abuse - physical violence/rape) then a report option can be clicked upon & quite simply issues dealt with by moderators or at last option police.

wouldn't that rely on people giving far more information than they are generally willing to do on here or actually telling the truth about themselves to be of any use to any authority? and how exactly are you suggesting moderators would "deal" with it on what is essentially a free site?

I'm not trying to be difficult, nor am I suggesting complacency but the site is just a means for like minded individuals to seek each other out. I imagine they assume that the adults who use it have the sense to take care of their own safety and security arrangements? if there is criminal activity, of course they should cooperate with the police but will they have the information to be of any use?

Occasionally there's a thread suggesting that people buddy up, that is they have certain contacts from fab who know who they're meeting, when and where. How they arrange contact etc is variable but I think some agree to text at certain points during a meet.

Hi We have meet several females, who have phoned a buddy to say things are ok,

as said the site only give you the tools to meet after that it's up to you,

we like meet at a bar or somewhere open with people around for a social before moving on helps to calm the nerves . connie x

If issues like those occur, report to admin and, more importantly, to the police.

Yes a few years ago we did a thread to arrange some buddy system and had volunteers in different parts of the country to help those that didn't want their friends to know their private life, but they wanted a safety net in case things went wrong so they could contact one of us to let us know who and when they were meeting.

It worked well for a while
