I agree, would be great to have a like button for people's status. To show you agree with them without needing to message.

You Dont Need to Know, right now

I agree that some updates are so amusing, they warrant a 'like'. But where are these 'likes' going to be listed? I don't want them on my profile - I don't want anyone else putting anything on my profile - and since statuses are re-set after 2 days, the 'likes' would have to be timed to expire as well. And if there was a separate 'most liked statuses' list it would just turn into a pissing-contest, with people competing to get on the list, just like the 'most fabbed pics' list.

Where does it end? The 'funniest verification' list? The 'most imaginative profile text' list? We already have the facility to fab a meet-advert, with no feedback given to the person who posted the meet-advert.

We already have winks, for people who don't want to send messages. And winks are a waste of time, in my opinion.

Instead of more league-tables that we don't need, I'd rather just spend my time swinging
