Hidden profiles

This is by no means a complaint or anything like that just something that's doesent strike me as fair possibly?!

Why is it when people hide their profile they can still go around and view other profiles? I totally get that there are reasons why people hide their profile some people do it to take a break from receiving messages but wouldn't it be fair that if they want to go "window shopping" then it be only fair that people are able to view their profiles, I would of thaught the hide profile thing come with restrictions on certain things?

Everyone can choose to hide their profile. No one is restricted from doing so?

Is it much different to the hundreds of non existent faceless profiles viewing others? Many like to hide whilst browsing so as to not get disturbed, can't see it as being unfair.

I hide mine now and again, as you say sometimes getting too many messages is why and I hate ignoring messages

Is it also unfair if people have a one word profile and no pics or interests showing but look at your profile?

Good point! This was somthing that I didn't quite think about "

Before I changed the way I ran my profile, I'd often log onto a fair few messages and found I'd get more as I was online so hiding was a good way of getting through my messages without getting further messages.

The reason I hidden my profile is because I am not meeting at this moment and not looking either!And save me to deal with my messages.But I like the forums!Each one does what they please,what is the big issue?

I would like that when I hide that no one can contact me I've hidden my profile and received messages etc while hidden

Yes. Surely they can put up as much or as little as they like. However if one wants to hide ones own profile then they should feel it's hidden and others can't contact or view them and they should not be allowed to contact or view others.

Ask them to send theirs first. If they won't then just walk on by.
