OP self moderation

After recently being made to go to jail without passing go and collecting £200, I have had time to think on the error of my ways and of the potential for difficult decisions and injustices in the time hungry and unappreciated world of the moderator.

Surely a more efficient and fair system would be that the OP of a thread is able to moderate their own threads and that the OPs themselves are moderated by...erm...the moderators.

Apologies if this breaks the rules on discussing stuff and yes I know that I can contact admin direct.

No harm in finding out if others think this is a good idea too tho?

Ideally the fabswingers world would swing towards a democracy?

What do you all think?

We have enough potential Ops saying they only want people who agree with them posting onto he threads, so it would be awful. It would be full of sycophants and people trying to please others to get a fuck,,.. and the death knoll for those of us here for the banter rather than the kiss puck avoid. No thanks.

Moderate their own threads? So delete or amend any messages from others they don't like? That would enable the OP to manipulate the thread to their own means.

I don't envy the mods at all, they have a difficult job moderating adults that can behave like kiddies at times. Sometimes they get it wrong (in my humble opinion), but largely they get it right

Oh c'mon Ruggers, imagine the possibilities.

I thought, initially, it was a stupid idea but just think...

Start a shag, dance with, slap thread and 'adjust' it so that vociferously anti-TV/TS posters reply shag to TVs, the "I AM STRAIGHT DAMMIT' lot reply shag to other men, FB pairs reply slap to each other...

I can see loads of scope for brilliance.

Ah but do they? Cases are never discussed feedback is never given. The only time we see moderation in action is in the chatrooms where it is often ill-mannered and heavy handed (in my humble opinion).
