It's called 'Discretion'.

It is entirely my own business who I have met - or who you have met. No-one else needs to see them.

It is merely a tool to confirm that someone is a real person who actually meets when arrangements have been made.

You Dont Need to Know, right now

OP: If it bugs you when people hide their verifications, just don't mail those people or reply to them. Job done!

Nobodies business but mine who I've met. The verification shows I'm real. Nobody would leave a bad verification for anybody, if they had a negative experience they just wouldn't leave a veri at all...so not pointless.

Some people choose to hide them for discretion. Some hide them as a fake can verify themselves from another fake profile.

But it is up to the individual to run their profile as they like and for others to act on what they see as they like. No need for anybody to get upset either way

I have verifications, can't remember how many off hand. If you were to look at my profile, you would assume I had hidden or not displayed all of them. This isn't the case as several are from people who have since left the site! This could be another reason.

Those that choose to show only their summary, I would guess do so for their own reasons.

The title kind of gives it away.....

People hide for all kinds of reasons.

My previous profile I had 230+ verifications. Many from parties, some repeats [which I don't see too much point in]. I used to display a representative sample.

If I showed all then my profile would have been about six pages long. ...THAT would have bern pointless!

Sorry - it is no such tool at all - hidden verifications could be via CAM - no guarantee that the person meets at all. Also, there are plenty of "verified" profiles that are completely fake - it's very easy to achieve.

Agree with this .

Hiding all verifications and not showing the summary is the same as not being verified at all as far as we are concerned .

It could be just cam veris and no meets in person at all

Agree that you should be able to choose which verifications to display, but I feel that the summary should be mandatory as it is still discrete but useful to genuine users

Using the advanced search would tell you if people have veri's through meeting

I agree with this one . because so many people use the site to con and fib to others .

Its should defiantly be up to the individual to show which if any verifications are live ..

maybe the site could have a social or a play option like cam or the old phone verification .?????

Should i suggest in site improvement ideas? lol x

^^ yes!!

I have a lot of social meet veris which I don't generally display. So yeah I think it would show the difference between a socialite and a hardened swinger xx

Because your summary says how many people have verified you and how many veri's you have published

I disagree, the summary is a great tool as it shows whether veris were by meet or by cam, it also shows how long ago the last verification was, which IS useful. Being able to hide some verifications removes the risk of abusive comments being displayed.
