"More should be done when members are reported on multiple occasions for blatant time wasting. . I recently spent a whole day off getting ready for an arranged meet only for the guy to totally stand me up.. No phone call, no apology,no explanation nothing !! Just didn't bother to turn up !! Subsequently I found out that this was far from the first time he's done this.. I was contacted by a number of other people to say he's done exactly the same to them.. they reported him, as I have but he's still on FAB and most likely he'll do the very same to his next 'victim'.. Maybe we need a '3 strikes and you're out' policy.. or a warning placed on their profile warning other uses that they've failed to turn up for 'meets' on numerous occasions.. " That could be abused though. Say if 3 people didn't like you and they just reported your profile for no factual reason... Bang, you're gone. Unless both parties agreed to a meet request and then a feedback thing was given. You'd soon also learn who was serious if they knew you could leave bad feedback or click they didn't show and it go against them. I'm sure a lot of peoples dogs, friends and parents would stay alive longer too

"There is hardly a need for anger on this thread. This is a section for site feedback and fab welcome thoughts/problems being highlighted. This is also a public forum and providing rules are adhered to you're free to have your say just like everybody else. Well last night I had a think about what I would do to try and combat time wasters, not those who genuinely cannot meet. When engaging in conversation maybe have a meet request option that both agree to with a date on. If you're then stood up you can report feedback back, like turned up, didn't, made excuses, arranged for anither time. And have a 3 strikes and you're out policy. But maybe have a mark on your profile for a certain amount of time if you fail to turn up. Personally think it would give people a little more confidence and be able to work out the TIME WASTERS and jokers who leave a bad vibe on the site with those who get stood up. If you're wanting to actively meet on this site even those verified are not assured not to be time wasters so something should be put in place to avoid time being wasted and efforts too. It's not a case of careful selection like it used to be, I was stood up twice by somebody heavily verified as genuine with very lame excuses." People have to cancel for genuine reasons. Not every reason is 'Lame' or a 'Made up excuse'. In 7 years I have only had to cancel one meet which I made it clear, all depended on work. I have also only been cancelled once due to child care. I didn't judge, shit happens. The problem with giving feedback you talk about is bitter people. There is nothing to stop people telling lies because they don't get what they want. How would you feel if I said... Oh he's arranged with me 3 times.. He didn't turn up twice and said his car broke down the 3rd. You know it's rubbish.. But it's my word against yours. See my point?

" I had a hysterectomy back in December ,months leading up to that colposcopys . Needless to say I have not been in frame of mind to meet and at present setting no time limit as to when I do feel like meeting . Why should I loose verifications or be classed a newbie ? The verifications are genuine and show I've met ... if I've not met in months it still doesn't change that .End of the day it's just to show I am a woman and not actually some huge brickie called Dave lol. Also people can use their own discretion if me not being recently verified if a deal breaker or not . As for changing status to a newbie ....well I'm not lol .I still on regular messaging and contributing in chat. I don't see why anyone should be told they have to meet X times over a certain period of time . If and when I want to indulge in bedroom gymnastics then thats down to me and my meet ..not a time limit. People can I'm sure use their own methods and filters to out time wasters ect . "We've only been truly stood up once. we took full responsibility for it because we went outside if our usual checks prior to arranging a meet. did we blame the site or insist they put safeguards in place because we didn't? nope because we're grown ups who use the tools already provided plus our common sense. the site gives us the opportunity to contact people we think we may have something in common with. that's all. it's responsibility ends there as far as we're concerned" This is very true and admin/owners can't be held responsible for how people behave on this site but by the same token if it just turns into a bad site then genuine people will stop using it. Maybe there should be the possibility for people to pay a bit more for membership and this might stop the misuse of the site?? Friendship would be good too instead of some of the nastiness that goes on on the forums that way we could share amongst ourselves if people are fake etc. I suppose even this could be abused by a few, the same reason we can't openly name and shame?? It's very difficult to come up with a full proof option!!!

"I think it work just fine as it is. " If people concentrated more on using their filters, and using a bit of sense when arranging meets, they would enjoy it here much more. Reading the FAQs would help to avoid some common pitfalls, together with acceptance that there are twats on every internet site. Fab is a tool, and we're all responsible for how we use the site. We can't really blame them if we're not using it right.

"Maybe go and make your own swinging site, you can set your own rules then. Don't police the rest of us please. X" I haven't met anyone this time round. Even tho I have a verification of a lovely friend I met on another site and bumped into her here. Over the last 15 years I've been on an off the site using different profile name's. I probably have had no more than 10 meets over that period. I have also had to pull out of meets because something popped up, life. work etc. Am genuine. I wouldn't just not show up. Wouldn't like it done to meself. There's enough rules. Keep it as it is. Not hard to work out the players an fakes.

Your sugested system is open to abuse on numerous ways, say people meet and one side doesn't like the other, they leave negative feedback however the other side could have had a great time and leave positive feedback, ones all happy and has no idea the other has just left a black mark against them. Alternativelt What's to prevent someone lying and saying the other party didn't turn up ?. Unless a member of fab admin oversees every meet, they wouldn't know who to believe. The problem with an honour system of verifications is that not everyone is honerable. Yes the current system is not perfect and is open to abuse, but so is every other suggestion I've seen on fab.

"We've each been on and off the site for years and think something should be done to combat inactive users using the site for online kicks. Couldn't you delete profiles that have not been verified after a certain amount of time? Or even those verified if they've not met for 6-12 months reset their profile to newbie? There is a big problem with jokers of late and think something should be done to give users a better experience. Just an idea. " I cannot understand why people worry about so called fakes and timewasters . Surely on fab you sell yourself by having a detailed well written profile combined with good pictures. I do not think many fakes would go to the bother of writing a good profile . You just need to use common sense . On fab I prefer to concentrate on my own profile and not worry about those of others .

For an annual subscription of say £500 they could employ full time staff and investigate all your complaints . They could maybe also sell an insurance service for your meet. You pay a £20 insurance fee and fab arrange a stand in for no shows. I prefer just to use common sense. It has never let me down yet .

Admin can check on messages as all stored and see if and what" Again that only works if all communication is done through fab, which, as I've stated above, for myself and others is not the case. As a personal example I have had experience of my own personal stalker on here, she hates the fact I won't meet her, creates a new profile, sends me a let's meet message and then reports me to admin when I don't respond. Or I assume just reports me as when she feels like it without sending me a message I know this is the case as previously she said that was what she was going to do, during one of her numerous times on here. Using your method,id have racked up my 3 strikes within a week and half, all due to a stalker.

"It's OK to say use your common sense and use the tools available on the site ..but that still doesn't always help .. In my recent situation I had messaged the guy who 'stood me up' quite a number of times.. he was charming, plausible and seemingly genuine (as far as wanting to meet was concerned..) We had discussed meeting up a number of times and eventually we decided on a mutually suitable date and time.. He was verified and the verifications were positive.. On the day of the 'meet' we had exchanged messages and at one point he contacted me to say that the time we had agreed on wasn't suitable anymore, could I make it a bit later.. I agreed and we reconfirmed a later time.. Despite all that, he never showed up.. and, as I said previously, I never heard a thing from him. No call, no message, no explanation, no apology. Yes, things do happen and people have genuine reasons not to turn up at times, I fully accept that, but common decency says that in those circumstances you let the other person know, asap .. I think some way of adding a visual indicator ( Like an icon depicting a large Ass !!) to a profile to show that a person has had 'Multiple' fail to shows should be introduced.. " why the hell would you give someone so many chances.. 2 at the most then block move on its simple..

Again, I fully accept that one person reporting such a thing could be being vindictive or simply unfair but surely if a number of unrelated people report the same person for the same thing on multiple occasions then there must be a fair chance that he/she deserves something on their profile that highlights this fact as a warning to others.. In my case, I have heard from a few other FAB users who told me that this guy did exactly the same to them so I think it's fair to say that he's a TIMEWASTER and that fact should be highlighted somewhere.. " But in this case you didn't use any common sense. You allowed the man to mess you about many times.HAD you used common sense you would have dumped his ass after the 2nd time he messed you about instead of giving him more chances.

"What utter bullshit. There is way too much said on this forum about people who do not meet very often being fakes, time wasters ect..... So unless you are constantly meeting you must be thrown off the site or have your status reduced. What are you the Fab police? Some people just like to chat or cam, nothing wrong with that. I have met 3 people off this profile but only have 1 verification, so your idea is flawed anyway. I have had a different profile previously that had more verifications. I also am on another site and have 2 FWB,s from that site. I am not meeting Willy nilly just so I can stay on this site. I will meet if and when I want to. If you are not happy with the site and its regulation, go and join another one instead. " Beautifully written my love! Some people on this site have to much time on their hands! I don't see why anyone should be told they have to meet X times over a certain period of time . If and when I want to indulge in bedroom gymnastics then thats down to me and my meet ..not a time limit. People can I'm sure use their own methods and filters to out time wasters ect . The site is mearly a vehicle and how each use is is down to them and no other . " How dare you have the audacity to refuse to meet? Anyone would think it was your body not a communal piece of meat!

I think some way of adding a visual indicator ( Like an icon depicting a large Ass !!) to a profile to show that a person has had 'Multiple' fail to shows should be introduced.. why the hell would you give someone so many chances.. 2 at the most then block move on its simple.. " I would only give a person one chance.. if they stood me up without any explanation or apology.. as this guy did.. then yes, he's blocked and I've moved on .. My point was in relation to an individual who does the same thing to multiple people and would be very likely to carry on doing so again and again..

" Didn't say report by one party - by several .. so 3 or more. If three parties complain about a couple or single something must be wrong. Admin can check on messages as all stored and see if and what Again that only works if all communication is done through fab, which, as I've stated above, for myself and others is not the case. Using your method,id have racked up my 3 strikes within a week and half, all due to a stalker." Verified account? If she just opens new accounts don't think she would be verified. Reporting from 3 different parties not just one...for example 2 verified couples and verified one single girl Admin can figure out when there is something nasty behind a report, give them a bit of credit. But in the end it is all down to common sense..and the use of existing filters of Fab. The filters stop 75% time wasters and 25% is then common sense... like they want to meet you but live in Florida... Okay if there are two tickets at the airport fine with us..otherwise it's just a time waste... Or like the endless stream of friends invites from single guys or people 300miles and more away... Use your own common sense "filter"...
