chat rooms

can we have area rooms please fab as this would cut down the time and make it easyer to meet people in our area cheers tanklucy.

I'd have thought that's what the browse facility was for, searching for contacts in your area.

You could have a hundred rooms and people would still bounce from one to the other to chat to people. I know I do.

A Home Among The Woodland Creatures

Us lot over on the wrong side of the severn bridge have our own chatroom and it works brilliantly, realy helps develop a community feel for us. Of course I still pop into the general room from time to time too.

So I'm definitely behind the idea of regional chatrooms

yer agree rooms for r areas will be better i dnt like chat to be honest on here tend not to use it for that reason

Why not, like on other sites allow the members to create rooms 'naming' them, the room'd then close when it got empty

Where would you draw the line tho ???

There are already chat rooms which don't get used - most folks use general or directing rooms and a few use the regional rooms.

Adding more and more region specific rooms seems like a total waste of time and effort to be honest.

I'd much rather see a little bit more effort being put into the forums for a change because, lets face it, they are pretty basic to say the very least.

Anyway - how would you ensure that a Southerner for example didn't go into a Northern chat room ?

Simple - you can't and neither should you ever be able to do so
