Is it possible to introduce a limit on the amount of quoted text allowed per message?

If I ever want to respond to a particular thing from a message I'll delete most of the text bar the sentence I'm responding too. Most seem to just include the whole thing and then the response quotes the original text and the response so you end up with these massive posts that are impossible to read.

Also a lot of posts quote a whole message and just add various emojis to signal agreement with it. Could a 'like this post' feature be added to cut down on unnecessary messages?
