"A thread closes when it gets too big at 175 responses Or mods dont like the way its going?" It would however say that its been closed by a mod with a comment from them as to say why

But dont forget that Admin also close threads themselves but it still says closed by moderator

"Do the Mods not interact on the forum then if you ask a question? I thought a Mod might let us know why threads get closed because of their length. " Yep they do, and I think you'll find that they have But it doesnt have to be a mod that answers questions on the forum - lots of posters have been using the site for yonks and know the answers to the common quieries, and are happy to answer questions when they can to help people out

"I thought a Mod might let us know why threads get closed because of their length. " Long threads get AUTOMATICALLY closed by the forum software when the go over 175 posts. When you look in the thread, the "Reply in forum" & "+quote" options will have been replaced by "(closed, thread got too big)". If a Mod closes a thread, then the "Reply in forum" & "+quote" options will have been replaced by "(thread closed by moderator)". They'll frequently make a comment to explain why the thread has been closed, unless it's glaringly obvious.
