" Facebook doesn't have a problem with that. I was always logging on there and choosing to look like I'm actually offline. I can't see any problems with this site doing it either. | |||

" Maybe not...on another site we use it still counts the people who are logged in but says "users opted to hide from appearing here" on the online list. | |||

"For years it's come up we'd like to log in without the dot highlighting we are online. Some of the longer accounts opted out when this was introduced meaning some are opting out and yet most of us can't. It should be enough that being logged in takes us to the front of searches and what not. I've got all filters on and looking to meet unticked but I won't allow anyone to message because I'm highlighted as logged in when I just want to read the forum. It's teasing to those doing searches to see x amount logged in and I can understand why they get arsey at no response from messages as most of this site are unaware of the forums. Admin x"Perhaps an option where it shows 'Last online: Within a week/ day'. -Vague enough to stop people mailing thinking we are online right NOW. If it didn't give any information at all about when someone was last online, people might be mailing profiles that hadn't been used in months. | |||
