Distance filter for messages/winks etc

I often see females complaining of the bajillion messages they get (you poor things!). How about a filter you can turn on which blocks comms (messages, winks, invites) if the user is past a certain distance away.

Obviously optional so if you like all the attention the entire site can contact you but if you're actually on here for meets, local ish people are what you're interested in.

That'd be very useful for us as we are restricted in how far we can travel and are looking for someone fairly close to home.

i get a fair amount of guys messaging me to meet from over 150 miles away and feel they're wasting their time. i'd put a distance filter on.

Mixed feelings on this one. Whilst I usually restrict sending messages to members within a certain radius of where I live, there have been times when I know I'm going to be in a certain area for a while that I've contacted women away from my home town. Similarly I'll admit to taking a chance on a message to someone further away if they specifically mention an interest in watersports and don't specify a distance limit in their profile.

In one case this approach led to a series of meets with the same lass 200 miles away from home, my visits continuing even after I returned to York. I travel the length of this miniscule country of ours without really thinking about it, although I absolutely understand why women would not want to make themselves available to any Tom, Dick or Harry just passing through.

I work almost 50 miles away from where I live and, all things considered, I probably spend more time in my "work" location than my "home" one, including some overnight stays in hotels which would be perfect for meets. How would the system take account of that? I realise the filters would be optional and I can change my location whenever I like, but I think on balance it would be a shame to see another restriction.

Same here too as an hours drive was my limit plus given people don't read the rules etc, it would stop those 'working your way and staying in a hotel' sending a message as I doubt they'd change their location

Probably. I like regular meets with guys who can get here at short notice.
