"Not sure if this has been approached, but it seems there are many accounts on the site that are just a "secret" perv for another account (maybe to look at someone blocked), or people just there for pic collecting or just pointlessly created one. Can't profiles which aren't active be removed, by not active I mean no veri's too, after a certain amount of time... I know could easily check profiles out and see this for ourselves, but I don't see the point in a profile being kept on if they're not doing what the site's intentions are?" What are the sites intentions?

"Well as it says on the homepage... Welcome to FabSwingers, a free website created for swingers by a genuine swinging couple. Therefore, in my eyes, if not meeting and been on a while... not really an intention of swinging. maybe like the idea of it or just like to pic browse. " So people have to meet people from here then or they shouldn't be able to use it? And if you don't meet people from this site you have no intention of swinging? And you should have to let everyone know how many people you meet? Would you happen to know how many swingers there are in the country compared to how many there are on here? Maybe they just have a better choice elsewhere?

I know of accounts that are permantly hidden to get round blocks and look at people and also an account set up by someone to be vindictive about people. I've tried reporting but still there

"Some people are only on here for the social aspect of things in the forums or chatrooms and have no intentions of meeting....surely they have as much right to be on a free site as the next person? Just a thought" I agree with this

"I sometimes log out and don't log back in for months. Why should someone else decide whether or not I should be deleted because I'm taking some time out? Does that make me a timewaster? There are no specified timings for this. I'll decide who I meet as and when I feel like it. I choose not to use the verification system in the same way other people do. It doesn't make it wrong. Why it worries people how other people conduct themselves is beyond me. As long as no rules are broken what difference does it make to anyone else? Do your own thing, meet people you choose to meet, ignore the profiles that don't interest you and stop moaning. " well said

"we met on here and were very active members; till the mrs developed "lady troubles" consequently we have not had a proper meet for the last 2 yrs. we are still on here to chat with friends and run the "naked fab camp" twice a year. by your post we should be kicked off the site and our profile deleted. we still consider ourselves swingers and use the site the way we see it was intended as a place where like minded people can mix and socialise. without other people telling us how to use the site " that's not what I've said at all. People clearly read things completely wrong... I said NOT actively using the site. Like you said you are actively using it.

"""I know of accounts that are permantly hidden to get round blocks and look at people and also an account set up by someone to be vindictive about people. I've tried reporting but still there """ This may be a loophole that is unpleasant when you find it, if it is a loophole then Fab need to address the issue? Less than an hour ago, whilst checking who had "viewed us", I saw a local couple had done so barely two minutes earlier. So I clicked on their profile name and got . . . Profile Not Available : This member has hidden their profile. The FAQ page says if you deactivate your account you lose verifications, etc? On this couples "blank page" it showed bottom left they had been verified by 26 users, last 7 months ago, listed their type and stated "10 published". What the fuck! This is NOT the first time we've seen this either. Admin? Fix this loop hole please, it's unpleasant at best, at worst it leaves you feeling "used". Fix it!

"Hiding your page is not the same as deactivating it. " Then this site should permit ALL users in their filters the ability to BLOCK any hidden profile . . . these voyeurs are even less worth being here than the time-wasters.

"I did say in the original post those not actively using the site, which in my mind using chat and forums would be actively using it. I'm more referring to when I go on the 'who's looked at me' page and there are numerous accounts that have been on for over a year, many months etc, without any verifications or pictures. " How do you know those people aren't happily chatting away in some chatroom you never go near? Or messaging people?

"Not sure i understand this. How does hiding a profile get round security measures? Surely hiding a profile just means you cant view it? Whats the problem with that, if thats what someone wants to do?" To be honest, given the substance of your profile, that seems rather naive? Taking a look at what you require from candidates for your GB's nobody "hiding" is even on the same level as yourselves? We weren't too sure about this till during the day we researched the difference between "deactivation" and "hiding". With "deactivation" the account is suspended, nobody sees it and the users of the profile can't use it to see others. But "hidden" means that user still has full control of their profile and can look anywhere they wish without being seen. Some message filters will work BUT, if you can't see them, how can you be more selective or, if you feel that your personal security and discretion might be at risk, block them for your protection? Fab created a BAD loop hole here and they should plug it, allow those who DO NOT want to be viewed anonymously to TURN IT OFF. Just how much of the "swinging community" would label these "one way mirrors" as just another time-waster?

Now this makes a lot of sense, also maybe a filter to hide your profile from those viewing in stealth mode ?" So many women look at profiles in stealth mode to stop unwanted messages. You look at a profile to see if you're interested, you read it and find that you're not so you move on. Only if that person has seen you looking, more often than not they message you. I'm only talking from personal experience but then an awkward conversation ensues where I then need to tell someone that even though I've looked at their profile, I'm not interested. If I'm in stealth mode they are none the wiser. Still... if you want to exclude all the single women/couples who perve in stealth mode then knock yourselves out asking Admin for another way to lessen your chances of meeting the couples/women you say you want to meet.

"I hardly think hiding your profile makes you a stalker or a timewaster.... I use it to stop getting messages when im not able to meet for a while.... And stealth viewing stops all the " I saw you looked at me do you want to meet?" messages. " Yes, that is a pitfall of having a good profile on here, you do end up at times feeling you're playing cricket trying to bat so much away. We're NOT saying that, like all the "options" this site gives, that they cannot be used sensibly. Simply saying that there is a strong possibility that they are frequently misused. An option to maintain a "level playing field" should be given us. Then each user can decide for themselves . . . rather than feel like they're animals at the zoo!

Well . . . there is one way to deal with this that we've proven this afternoon, a solo female perused our profile but upon checking we got the "Hidden Profile" message on the blank page . . . Except it isn't totally blank. To the left is your "options" and if you click on "add to block list" . . . you'll find that "hidden profile" is now unable to return. Not ideal but better than nothing.
