"Recent I received a ban from the forum for posting my story on when I realised I was bi. Other than receiving a ban from forum I couldn't work out what I had done wrong (because the post was deleted) until I realised instead of 16 which is the age I was, I may have put 15 - courtesy of thick thumbs on my phone. Surely you can add an edit system in so that you can edit a post. Please. " but there is a function for us to edit our own posts before we display it. so always best to proof read if its a long one saves a ban lol  | |||

"The site is for over 18's, you can't mention sex with anyone under that age, so the one digit difference wouldn't have mattered anyway." My memory from years ago. UK sex laws haven't been broken. (Except by a typo). | |||

"I assume you refer to articles 5.7 and 5.8 of the terms of this site. To which I respond - no image used, there was no means given to contact the other person in question. It was my memory so if people asked I wouldn't have told. | |||

"The problem with an edit post function is that posts can be changed after responses have been made. If someone posts something really nasty, gets the usual outraged replies, then edits the post to something nicer, it will look like they're being attacked for no reason. Bans all round. I do think if there is a delete option, there could be a 5 min edit window too, but probably best to proofread before hitting 'post'." This old chestnut!
The reason there is no edit function is because the site owners won't spring for proper forum software. That's the only reason. | |||
