once again.. there is only 1 mod online.. for 11 rooms!! and cant see them in any room!! I know most do a good job but how are rooms supposed to be monitored if there is no support???

i've ALWAYS offered my MSN out to any member that wants it so that they can get in touch should there be an issue in any of the rooms.

Granted I might not be available 24/7 due to having young children but if i'm at my desk then i will go in to chat to try to sort it out.

Dont get me started on this! I am increasingly disappointed with the site over the last few months... I could name times that mods have missed/ignored rule breaks, and am sick to the back teeth of being directed in general chat. surely being a mod is a priveledge for users.... then why aren't they challenged to be online often enough???

maybe admin should ask mods to commit more to the site... say when they will be online, and if they asint, lose their star! that way, admin can make sure there is always at least 2 mods online at any one time,am, pm, whenever! dont us ''site supporters'' deserve it???? I have been a site member for almost 4 years and loved the site until recently.... i'm considering leaving....

Couldnt agree more sherry .. how may times we had this discussion!!! as site supporters we expect more.,. we not sayin mods shud b available 24/7 but for amopunt of mods there are surely there should be more than 1 online at 11pm on sat nite and other times too. there just seems to be no consistency.. and as usual when the people that spoil the chat for regular users.. there is no one available. Also it would seem at time s that they turn a blind eye to rules if it somone they no!! was sum1 i earlier 2nite that was directing over and over in general.. was a mod in room.. nothin done!!. as i ve stated b4 members should not hsve to go looking/messeging mods for support. the clue is in the word!!!!!

Oh my.

Mods are not paid to mod, they are members with lives too.

This is meant to be fun for everyone including mods.

There is no way we would share our mobile number to be summons to chat at all hours of the day or night because there doesn't happen to be a mod on line and I am almost certain that Admin wouldn't expect it.

Surely ADULTS on an adult chat site can block a person and report anything untoward if there is no mods about.

One of your previous posts suggests you do have complaints about current mods.... and you should really use the feedback section from the Contact button to make your feelings known.

Being a mod isn't regimented nor do they do shifts. They log in when they can to mod.

I don't see how that would work tho. I know our plans can change from one day to the next and we can't always be where we want to be at times. As Rugby says, this is completely voluntary and until admin tell us otherwise I will come in to chat when it fits in with my family.

Until then .... again I would suggest reporting any offending members to admin then hitting the Block button

my comment about mods missing things was just a general comment, i would never complain as i can understand how hard the job is... all we are asking for is more mods, or the current ones to be online when we need them! You clearly dont understand how frustrating it is to recieve daily abuse/directing etc...

I can honestly say if i made a pledge to be somewhere at a certain time and date, i would be there.... if all mods pledge week by week, and if theres gaps in times durin the week, then admin clearly need more mods.... simple! lol

Unfortunately I have been offline with a back injury so I'm out of it for a little while, my lappy has also died on me and I can only access this site with my iPad, that doesn't give any chat facilities, to those who have my number and have tried contacting me I apologize. Unfortunately till I am able to walk or drive I can't take my lappy to be repaired so I can only chat to you through the forums via iPad. Sorry, I'll be back to mod just as soon as i and my lappy are sorted. Xxx

But at least they aint abusing you... but wait... wow.... other members have block buttons too.

The block button is very very under used. If there were 10 females on cam and all 10 of those blocked a director (directing in open chat) all 10 cams would be invisible to them. You reckon they would learn before long? I certainly do.

do we really pay £5 a month for that? and after 4 years on the site, i find it disappointing that this is the only option given to me, and to puddycat...

if we block them, we can still see everyone else replying in chat to them, with the same reply we gave them...

simple answer is, we need more mods! why is it so hard for admin to understand? cos they dont go into chat rooms maybe......?

there has been 2 previous posts regarding mods, one by baldersandboss, and one by us too regarding jiminator.... admin replied to neither of them.... a simple ''we have read and considered comments'' would instill more confidence in site users...

a bit more time.......for most its impossible as they have jobs, kids, family, life etc........they are swingers also aswell as mods......not as simple as made out...........its a fine balance...........as for new mods then forum posts like this might make admin think.

I can't possibly dedicate more time to the site. I am essentially a single parent at the moment. My husband is in another country serving with the forces. I have 2 children, one not yet 2, the other school age.

What would happen if, say, I commited to admin to be in chat between 9pm and 11pm every night. Like last night, my son was in bed by 7pm so wouldn't have been a problem but was up at 6am for reasons unknown. I am actually dead on my feet at the moment but have been sat talking to my husband, catching up on each others days/weeks etc. I haven't been in chat at all today so have missed my "scheduled" time to mod.

What would happen if there was an accident, someone needed taking to hospital. Or god forbid ... I actually had a night out!! This is a voluntary thing. We aren't paid to be in here. We do it because we like the site, it's a fun place to be.

At the moment, keeping my family ticking over is most important to me. Making sure my children feel loved and secure despite the fact that they haven't seen their daddy for the last 4/6 weeks and that after next weekend they won't see him til almost Christmas.

Like I said before, I will be on here to mod as and when I can. If that's good enough for admin then that's good enough for me.

couldnt agree more! i am sick of helping genuine newbies learn how to use the site, ie rules, whispers, and how to get cam on, as well as advising people what they can and cant say... more mods are needed to help us all enjoy the site as much as i have for the last 4 years....

I think thats they key though and also contradicts what the thread was started about.

From there being a complaint that there were no mods about to five turning on a thread to answer, it seems you may have been wrong with your first post.

It really isn't worth getting het up over and no one else other than Admin can appoint any more mods but people can answer threads on the forums.

Your best bet is to wait until Admin answer or read the thread.

If that is to me? I can't answer why Admin pick one person over another, but, I will say that I should imagine it has nothing to do with how long anyone has been on the site for, more wether Admin think they will do a good job or not.

I have complained numerous times about general users... nothing has been done... why would this be any different if we complained about a mod? (not that i need to, i am happy with the jobs mods do in general) but doesn't it show that admin dont really care about the users....?

admin do care about the users because it is an unpaid site. apart from site supports which are in the minority everyone has the site for free. I must admit I think admin do a great job, especially with trying to organise the new beta chat also xxx For free or just a fiver a month for a supporter very good value for money x

I'm often onsite throughout the night, recently I did a ten hour stint from 8pm to 6am, I was in many rooms that night as I tend to do most nights, if another mod comes in I'll pop off to another that has no mods in......in each one I will ask is everyone okay and tell them the rooms I'll be moving into next if they need to get hold of me. Some nights it's the rooms with most ppl in that I prioritise because that's where most directors/ abusive ppl are to be found.

sureley being a mod is a privelidge, and ya shouldnt need to be paid.... but do the mods come in chat less since they were made mods? seems like it to me... do random people that dont use chat get made mods??? definately... no consistence or logic or common sense when it comes to assigning mods as far as i can see

Now, to address the problem of directing in non-directing rooms.

Say (in chat) "if you attempt to direct again, I will report you to admin, and I'm sure others will too."

You don't need a mod, you're clearly a woman perfectly capable of standing up for herself. How about trusting your fellow chatters to have the same? It's an adult site, we should be able to self-police a chat room with NO mods present. Block and report. Easy.
