User "Ignore" button

Would love to have an "ignore user" button in the forums. Other forums I've been on have them so it's not tough to do. Some people are so tedious and go on and on (and on) about their same old private agenda - I would love to just hit an "ignore this user's posts" button.

Can't you just ignore their posts without hitting a button?

Seems much simpler.

I can ignore responding to their posts but get annoyed scrolling past their long winded rants.

I know all the work arounds - this is more of a site technical request rather than a "how to handle" query. I can pound a nail into the wall using a rolling pin, but I'd rather have a proper hammer, that's all. Unfortunately site admin doesn't often seem to address site technical requests. I work in IT and a lot of the requests made (technical ones that are common on other forum platforms) are easy to do, but little ever seems to actually get done. Maybe their techie has gone AWOL

Yes...it could be located right next to the "throw a sloppy dog turd at the annoying forum poster" button which I would also like to sincerely request from site admin
