Newbies filter

If you have your filter set so that newbies can not contact you, how long is it before they can? I thought it was 7 days but ive just had a message from a guy whose only been on the site 5 days

Think its after 3 days, not that it makes any difference though as in a months time they'll still be the same person/s

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

One reason would be that it prevents people making a profile on the spur of the moment just to send abuse. Their anger tends to subside after 5 days.
