Why are unverified, Unphoto verified people on the site allowed to have unlimited messages? coz I'm sick of ing out fakes from the genuine people!

Surely they should be limited to a few messages they can send out in a day?!?!

What has the amount of messages someone has have to do with ing out so called fake profiles? Ignore people with no pics or veris although this doesn't necessarily mean they're fake.

Why are you messaging them?

You can block those people from messaging you.

I dont think its a question of proving they are fake, its more of an assumption , especially if they have being on the site for some time and have not bothered to photo verify themselves etc

Ignore people who don't fit your criteria,set your filters so that only verified profile with pictures can message you

When you browse use the advanced search to look for the same

but then some verified accounts are still fake

I must be fake too, I've only been verified by PEOPLE IVE MET instead of by A PHOTO SENT TO SOMEONE I HAVENT MET. Silly me!

As a genuine man who uses this site regularly, chats to friends, is always respectful, and values the input of those around the place, it does always get me that people assume people without photographs must be fake... As ever, these things are 'each to their own', but some people maybe prefer to be private and discrete [two of the central ideas behind the site] and be careful with photographs precisely because of those who may not be genuine... The classic 'damned if you do...' scenario.

I like chatting here, have met some people, have also some nice contacts with people who I know I may never meet [but know they are genuine], and enjoy everything the site provides in my own way...

That, to me, is how it should be...

I wish everyone well and hope you don't have to deal with too many fake people, and all the best for the Easter...

Just my jumbled thoughts on the subject...

Well I never replied as I find lots off putting to be fair. I actually think veris are overrated and they seemed to have turned into some sort of badge of honour to some, like a competition, some are obsessed with getting them. To me they are to say the person is who they say they are and nothing more. I prefer to make my own mind up about a person but rightly or wrongly, hundreds do put me off.

The trouble is (well in my opinion)..its more or less a free site and even if you do pay a fee, it really is a very small fee..if it became an all singing, all dancing site then the fee would go up and I'm not sure people would be happy with that either.

Nor me. And don't intend to. Just coz someone has the green flag to say they held a piece of paper with there name on doesn't mean they are genuine or that they will actually turn up to a planned meet.

Not being photo verified does not mean you're fake and if you think that it does, you're a fool.

My old profile wasn't photo verified but had almost 30 veris from meeting....

However assuming that your 'etc' includes not having other forms of verification, photos, much text then they are the 'classic' signs of a fake profile, particularly if they've been on the site for a while. Not all guaranteed though.

But unless they've messed you about, how can you descry that they're not genuine?

I get lots of 'Couples' that contact me normally takes about 3 messages to suss who's fake just a guy looking for some wank kicks it's just like real life on hear some very genuine nice people and a few who are just idiots.
