Would a regional "Meet Requests and Parties" sub forum (sub in as under and not sexual) be a good idea to save sifting through everything?

I did think by City but as there are about 66 cities and 86 counties in the UK a more specific regional approach may be easiest.

North Wales Mid Wales South Wales, and a better division of Scotland rather than covering a huge area with one option would be a start. Adding child forums isn't difficult nor would be finding a dedicated moderator.

Just seems to make sense to look after and improve the environment of your customer/member base.

Great idea. Simpler format & saves looking at meets from London to Penzance.

By county would be great,

if it was set up with the current regions though it wouldn't make a great deal of difference for some.

Problem is there are over 80 Counties in the UK That would make a hell of a long list of separate child forums.

Withing a certain distance of a given city may have worked but that still means 66 child forums.

Better defined regional child forums would be the answer I think but would need a little bit of common sense applied when deciding on what is actually a region.

Ii suspect the "If its not broken dont fix it" philosophy allpies but the current system is shite to be honest

This is a fabulous idea, and which ever way the administrators could achieve it would be welcome as this would be a lot better than it currently is.

twice a year we have a naked camping weekend in Norfolk, which is open to anyone and we have people from all over the country coming. so how would a local forum be of any use to us , lots of people travel to socials all over the country too

UK Forum as its National? Doesn't take a lot of effort to adapt.

Yes please!!!!!!!!!!!

We need a regional events forum with the option to still list in a UK forum as we do now. So those who want to go further afield can look on the UK forum and those who want something closer to home can look regionally.

What will happen is that some clubs will want to cross post to other regions if they are near a 'border'; I am thinking northwest/midlands here as a lot of people do travel through these 2 areas. I don't think there should be a restriction, but readers need to be tolerant of clubs advertising in groups that are not in their area. This may get just as messy though? Thinking out loud here! lol
