Just wondering why someone can still be seen on a google search, even when they have checked the 'search engine not to be seen' under privacy? They have checked and unchecked it to make sure, and reported it to admin and Owners but nothing seem to have bene done. Can someone suggest any other idea that can be tried?

It does take a couple of weeks to come off a Google search. So if in the meantime they've clicked on 'show me' again they've just reset that period of time.

It does say this when you are about to click on the opt out.

Search engines: We let you opt out of having your profile listed on search engines like google. If you change this option your profile may take a couple of weeks to disappear from search listings: We have no control over this.

the profile has been on here for a year at least and it was clicked to not show from the start though. Thats why we were confused

If people have turned it off a while back plus clicked on the dont show to non registered users and you are still coming up, maybe contact Admin from the contact button so they can checked everything is working as it should

If you were logged in at the time you will be able to see your pics when you clicked on it

We typed our profile name into google search and one if the links displayed took us to our photo gallery.

If you were logged in at the time you will be able to see your pics when you clicked on it

Log out of your profile and try again

We typed our profile name into google search and one if the links displayed took us to our photo gallery. "

You can get access to the forum from google as well, you dont have to be signed in. You can view all replies and link to the profiles the pics are blurred out and usernames have an * in them.

I think it would be a good idea to have the forums private to registered users only

Try in with fabswingers after it , mine came up and so did the threads for 2 avatar voting ones . How can I stop them coming up in any search admin ???

I've just googled my name on here. I came up with 3 results. All forum thread where I have been named by others. No links to anything else. If I tried to go elsewhere from that page I was redirected to sign in.
