Posted a comment on here 6-7 months ago about how ridiculous the region's are in browe meets.

At the time Admin said that it was going to be changed to distance the same as in search. 31 weeks later and nothing has happened.

The regions may work fine if you live in the centre of a region, unless of course your in East Midlands which seems to cover a ridiculously large area of England.

When Bradford, Leeds and Sheffield are in 3 different regions it is a complete and utter farce.

I'm sure the time spent adding emoticons to messages would have been alot better spent sorting the region's out!

Admin have made a lot of changes over the years, there are many suggestions from many people, admin can't please everyone all of the time.

Admin have made a lot of changes over the years, there are many suggestions from many people, admin can't please everyone all of the time."

As we originally said, seven months ago when we posted about regions admin responded immediately on the thread to say it was all going to change and work on distance instead which makes so much more sense.

We mentioned emoticons because it was a recent upgrade which to us is a trivial thing as we haven't bought into emoticons, however if there was a really pissed off grumpy one I may have used it at the end of my original post.

ahhhh but what if the person who suggested emoticons made their suggestion 9 months ago? surely they get first dibs lol

In the last 7 month admin have made a shed load of noticable changes and more than likely even more behind the scenes to keep the site running.

They have mentioned changing the regions before yes but they have said it was a system they inherited and its not an easy fix. It's very probably a wip along with a long list of other demands from users.

Fab has a small team to keep it running so everything takes time, it's far better they spend as much time as they need to get it right first time.

I don't look at regions now I look at distances on profiles

I love the emoticons in messages
