I'm noticing an increasing number of new profiles of late that are not photo verified.

A growing number of these are, however, displaying profile photos.

One in particular though, and which has prompted me to start this thread, got my attention yesterday.

My profile was viewed yesterday by a 'couple'

Their status made mention of sorting out a face pic and uploading other pics later.

I have view the picture they have uploaded, and to be perfectly honest, I am extremely suspicious about it.

Not only do the couple in the profile look a little too 'perfect', but it has been presented as a 'selfie' taken on an iphone (with the phone clearly on view in the picture)

So, it has raised the question in my mind 'If you can take a picture of yourselves using an iphone, why have you not photo verified?'

I have seen another profile, again showing profile pictures but not photo verified.

Neither of these profiles have site support status.

I was therefore wondering if it might be worth placing a restriction on profiles in that profile pictures can not be uploaded until a profile has been photo verified.

I would suspect that this would also make the job of approving pictures a little easier for site admin.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

This has been asked many many times and the response is that admin have no intention of making photo verification compulsory. Its easy to fake a photo taken for photo verification, and some people prefer not to upload pics at all.

Fab is a tool, and if we use it well we should be safe. Any pic that rings alarm bells should be Tineye'd or Google image reverse searched. If its fake, report to admin.
