The title says it all really. If you're a couple it's highly likely that she will have a different preferred age range for men than he will have for women.

I understand that this may complicate things in terms of filtering messages. As someone who's not really into age filtering, I'd rather there was still only one age filter and it took the youngest of the two age ranges and the oldest, letting anyone in between message you.

The point, therefore, of the two age ranges is not to prevent even more people from contacting you than you already allow... but rather merely to give passers by a better idea of his and her openness to their own age

I can see where you're coming from with this but can't help thinking that this could get extremely complex - and very messy!

Here's another possibility.

What if the female of the couple is Bi-sexual and also wants to play with the ladies, but has her own age range preference - that differs from her partners?

I agree that the filters don't seem to work particularly well for couples - for example I have found couples appearing in search results where only one half of the couple is within the specified age range - but then no system will ever be perfect and please everybody.

This is us, our lower age is for fems, no chance is shel going to meet a younger lad but Paul likes younger woman

That could get very complicated we much prefer the idea of us as a couple selecting someone to meet together rather than choosing someone that ticks one of our boxes but not the other.
