The pointlessness of an age filter

When it comes to couples.

So many bypass it can we not get some sense to prevail and make it apply to BOTH the couple ?

If your age filter is say 35 and one half of the couple is hitting 50 then its quite far outside your range and its sad to constantly have to tell people like this no which is the entire point of a filter.

Why would it take the youngest value and not the oldest anyway ?

If it was set the other way round people would complain about people being too young contacting them.

It's a very good point. We do find we have the same issue, surely it can't be difficult to add a line of code to set the upper limit. We do find though with couples that we do make exceptions if one if them is a year or two outside the set ranges... Maybe it could be set so that for couples one has to be in the age limits but a 2-3 year leeway is given for the other partner, and not an unlimited leeway as it now appears.

Why not just ask Admin. To put a one foot in the grave check box for us ancient incontinence dribbling old farts and have done with it.

Or get a category for zimmers with or without wheels so we can have fun whittling out people too

Very few things on here evoke such an emotional response as age and excluding people because of it. It's very odd how offended some get over it.

Weather you want to believe it or not your personality looks and abilities change as you age and to be quite frank some people are uncomfortable playing with those old enough to be parents or grand parents.

Why some get so offended by this is a mystery.

and in return some people have a total lack of understanding of humour mixed with sarcasm. If i had been offended by your post the response would have been written with venom. But perhaps youll obtain that as you mature with age lol.

We often get contacted by people looking for a younger couple, when they are pointed in the direction of reading our profile it's often a case of me being too old. Maybe both ages should be taken into account but that would put people like us out of many other age range.
