Your profile isn't hidden! You need to go into your account and hide your profile

when you hide your profile, people can still see your public photos, wing and message you, what it does is hide your text and details

It's handy if you want a break or are away for any reason. It's a nuisance deleting your profile then coming back. You've lost your verifications too.

People hide their profiles for a number of reasons! And why delete it if they are only planning on having a break?

People may take a break for a number of reasons: school holidays, illness, financial, disillusioned with the whole scene and probably a whole lot more. Are you suggesting that every time someone wants a break they have to leave- lose their verifications and site supporter pass? Thank god the site owners have thought about it and given us the tools to run our profiles the way we want.
