Fake photo on most fab'd

We've noticed recently more fake accounts/photos making it to the top of the top fab'd photos list. This goes against the whole ethos of Fab which is for real people, real meets, real photos.

Often these are new users who have a fake verification that some idiot has provided, but who has been reported and we've not yet gotten round to processing the report and suspending the account (and the verifier).

From today, only accounts that are not classed as newbies will be eligible to show on most Fab'd photos.

We'll committed to continue to make changes to crack down further on fake accounts

The worst thing with fake accounts is if they get to use up your already limited free time,thus denying any genuine users that

I think the fake profiles really spoil it for everyone on the site. If you are a polite single guy you will meet people who want to meet you. If you pretend to be something you're not then you won't be meeting anyone...... That's not fun

Great idea, I've been a member for many years now and have organized lots of good meets.

There have been lots of fakes as well, its frustrating but its going to happen unfortunately.

I would have imagined this is paramount to the success of Fabswingers... not quite sure the purpose of this topic unless It is asking for advice?

Well the care and policing has improved a lot in the past 5 years and as I understand is all thanks to some volunteers who are doing a marvellous job.

Perhaps it's time to consider reducing the facilities to those users that do not pay and offering more protection to those members who pay a subscription. I am sure we would be prepared to pay more to support this website

This would help to reduce those fakes, picture collectors and timewasters who have had it too easy.

By paying a little more to use the facilities this could also provide the opportunity to Fabswingers to have an office with more dedicated staff to better look after it's paying members.
