We've changed the way we serve images to help improve site performance and give us room to grow even more: All images are now served from a new server, images.fabswingers.com. This should make exactly no difference to your use of the site.

While we check that this change is working we've turned off uploads. We'll turn them on very shortly.

In the meantime, if you are having problems seeing photos on the site please post here exactly what the problem is you see, and what browser you're using.

The images are coming up with a blue box with a White '?' symbol. I'm using an Ipod Touch and always have. It was fine before lol.

Have a look at the PM we sent there are some instructions that will help us track down problem

Use contact form at bottom of page or hit reply on PM to get back to us.

Just a thought are you running a firewall or antivirus software?

Don't forget to let us know the image URL as per previous message it will help us track down problem

Hi again, nope no firewalls or antivirus, site was running fine until today, am unsure as to how to give you an image url, as absolutely no images are coming up on any page i look at

Previous to this week members photos were held on the one server @ Fab, if you tried to right click & save a photo, you got a message saying this is contrary to site rules & therefore you could not save the photo, = good news, our photo's were 'safe' from being stolen.

From this week, the photo's were moved to another server to speed up this server. However I have just checked & now there is no stopping people stealing others photos!, therefore all photo's are at risk.

lol there is No website on the net that can say they are 100% safe because there are so many different ways to save pictures off a web page, i can think of 4 off the top of my head...

There was never any message or notice to stop people "stealing" photos so this isn't correct. There was a technical "glitch" in Internet Explorer which mean most folks couldn't save photos and it displayed an IE message like "can't save content type" (or similar). Any other browser could save pics though. As part of the change for performance reasons, we resolved that glitch because it also stopped some photos being displayed for some people.

We have always covered right click "protect" in the FAQs:

Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?

We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.

Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:

Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.

OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.

OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.

We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.

We also now watermark all photos upon upload.
